Additional Information: I have two areas of expertise to offer: on-site artist planning and then supervising kids painting murals (interior or exterior) or artist-in-residence planning and implementing curriculum based art projects Here is an example of one artists in residence program which I developed. The program culminated in an evening ‘Art Walk’ which brought parents and community members to the school to view the students’ work. I taught printmaking to students in grades K – 2. Grades 3 – 4 painted self-portraits and Grades 5 & 6 did a landscape based on work by the Group of Seven. Each project was tied to curriculum. I introduced the concept, showed the work of several artists and explained the technique. I was responsible for all the preparation, planning and execution. For this program I worked with each class (17 – 27 students) for 1 hour per week for 5 to 6 weeks. This is just one example of the type of work I have done recently and I would happily create a program that would suit individual schools.
