Val Lawton is a freelance Calgary artist and creates art for corporate and private clients. She also illustrates children's books and is currently at work on a her fifth children's picture book called "Where Does Your Dog Sleep?", authored by Jeannie Freeman.

Val is an artist-educator with the Royal Conservatory of Canada's Learning Through the Arts program (www.ltta.ca), and teaches in both official languages.
