Call for Performers 2009 We are looking for child performers for our Celebrating Creativity 2009 Open House on
Thursday, June 11th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. This event is held in conjunction with our exhibit of children’s art (May 21st – June 25th 2009) and is for all the exhibiting young artists and their families to see the exhibit, enjoy performances by other children and visit the Creative Kids Museum and the TELUS World of Science – Calgary.

Performances should: § feature children as the performers § be either solos or groups § no more than 10 minutes in length § be virtually self sufficient i.e.: bring your own instruments, props, sets § provide brief written introductory material for the MC What the Creative Kids Museum will provide:§ Friendly theatre with a raised (four inches) stage - 16 feet wide with 4 ft wing space on SL and 8 foot wing
space on SR. 12 feet deep. Red curtain across back. General and floor seating for approx 70 people. § Sound system with DVD/CD player and wireless microphones § There is no dressing room. § Stage manager and MC § Marketing opportunities – mention on press releases

brochures in brochure rack § and the audience! § A free visit to the TELUS World of Science – Calgary and Creative Kids Museum before/after the
performing duties. This is a great opportunity for young performers to experience a low stress and fun performance situation and/or try out new material.
