REGISTER NOW FOR THE 17TH ANNUAL SUMMER MEDIA ARTS CAMP FOR TEENS
The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers is proud to present the 17th annual Summer Media Arts Camp to be held July 21 to August 1, 2008. This unique opportunity allows teenagers aged 14 to 17 to write, direct, shoot, and edit a film under the guidance of professional filmmakers.
The small class size allows each participant to get experience working in all aspects of the film production process. The camp will culminate with a public screening of the final film and each participant will receive a DVD of the production for their portfolio. Many past participants have gone on to careers in film and video so this is a great opportunity to explore filmmaking as a career option.
The camp will run Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, July 21 to August 1 and the total cost including all materials is $445. Space is extremely limited so early registration is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
The Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers is a non-profit organization dedicated to the production and exhibition of media arts in the Calgary community. The CSIF offers a variety of workshops and welcomes memberships from filmmakers and film fans alike.
